HEADLIGHT was a brand of Larned, Carter & Co., founded in the early 1900s and produced through the 1960s. At a time when vertically integrated manufacturing—from weaving to sewing—was uncommon, the company’s in-house production reflected a deep commitment to quality and durability. As evidenced by its labels and advertising flashers, HEADLIGHT garments were widely worn by and supplied to railroad workers and engineers. Today, the brand remains highly regarded and continues to be sought after by discerning vintage collectors worldwide.
