About Us

Founded in 2010 by Martin Vestphael, Wardrobe 19 is a Danish menswear multibrand store dedicated to premium, vintage-inspired workwear and heritage clothing — primarily sourced from Japan.

Most of the brands we stock are exclusive to Wardrobe 19 in Denmark.

Our core focus is on selvedge denim, horsehide leather jackets, and Goodyear-welted boots, inspired by the golden age of high-quality workwear from the 1930s to the 1960s.

Our philosophy is captured in the motto
“Investments over consumption.”
We believe true quality lies in timeless design, lasting construction, and garments that grow more personal, more beautiful, and more valuable with every wear.

After 15 years at Larsbjørnsstræde in Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter, Wardrobe 19 has relocated to Sværtegade 3.

Our new home is a 200-year-old historic boutique with a preserved original interior crafted by master art turners I.G. Schwartz & Søn in collaboration with architect Hans Harald Conrad Stilling — later renowned for his work at Tivoli.

Today, this rare setting forms the physical framework of Wardrobe 19.
