The fabric is a faithful reproduction of the Herringbone Twill (HBT) used by the US Army during the 1940s. Its lightweight construction and crisp texture recreate the characteristics of original vintage military headwear. The rigid, unwashed finish allows the herringbone weave to become more pronounced with wear and washing, gradually developing a dry texture and authentic vintage patina.
