We found this brand a year ago during a tradeshow in Berlin.
We came across some of the most incredible shirt fabrics we’ve ever handled and without a doubt we decided to bring them to Copenhagen.
Of course, Prequel comes out of Japan🇯🇵
The shirt specialists base their incredible fabrics on a sacred and precious fabric sample book by Claude Fréres (J. & Co. ,Paris) from 1907.
Prequel brings new life to these vintage fabrics by studying the analyzing the patterns with microscopic attention to detail.
Woven with a combination of 60-count warp and 30-count weft yarns, this weather fabric shirt recalls a past era when spinning technology was not yet developed.
To recreate the atmosphere of the yarns of that era, nep yarns are incorporated, yet the fabric has a dense and firm texture. The result is a classic and distinctive uneven texture that blends harmoniously with the natural color of the cotton, creating a perfect balance.
