Double Helix is a Japanese heritage brand devoted to the art of handmade leather jackets. Rooted in a deep respect for early 20th-century American workwear, military garments, and vintage motorcycle culture, the brand reinterprets iconic silhouettes with uncompromising Japanese precision.

The Western Cowboy is Double Helix Works’ interpretation of a classic Type 1 jacket design — a silhouette originally known from early 20th-century workwear.

Characterised by its cropped length, clean front with chest pocket detailing, and buckle-back cinch, the Type 1 design offers a sharp, structured fit with a distinctly vintage attitude. Double Helix elevates this heritage blueprint by executing it in leather rather than denim, giving the jacket a bold yet refined presence.

Brass donut buttons and period-correct detailing reinforce the early American aesthetic, while the tailored proportions ensure a strong silhouette. It’s a piece that balances rugged Western influence with precise Japanese craftsmanship.
