Rainbow Country, Spider Coat, Seal Brown (Shinki Horsehide)

The Spider Coat is Rainbow Country’s interpretation of a classic 1930s–40s American car coat, combining a longer, elegant silhouette with the rugged construction of a proper horsehide jacket.
The design is deliberately clean and understated, with simple slash pockets and a half belted action back that adds freedom of movement without disturbing the sharp vintage profile.  

Crafted from approximately 1.2mm vegetable-tanned horsehide with an aniline finish, the leather starts with a rich character and develops increasingly pronounced grain, creasing and depth with wear. The body is lined in 100% wool Melton, giving the Spider Coat considerably more warmth than a traditional short sports jacket.  

A beautifully balanced piece that sits somewhere between a leather jacket and a coat — refined enough to dress up, but built with all the character and ageing potential you expect from Rainbow Country.
