Sugar Cane's vintage-style checkered shirts are immensely popular in our shop.

Based on vintage pieces preserved in Sugar Cane’s archives, this classic check shirt faithfully recreates key details from the 1950s and ’60s, including twin-needle chain stitching and period-correct construction throughout. The check pattern—woven with four warp and four weft colors—draws inspiration from a 1970s wool shirt. Its subtly faded, beautifully balanced vintage hues have been meticulously reproduced in cotton.
