__________
The wabash fabric from Sugar Cane has always been a customer favourite here at Wardrobe 19 — known for its distinctive dotted stripe pattern and rich indigo tones. Now, for the very first time, we’re bringing it to you in black.
While black wabash stripes did exist in the early 20th century, they’re exceptionally rare in vintage workwear. Sugar Cane has meticulously recreated this fabric, dyeing the base with black sulfur dye and applying the signature dot stripes using a traditional discharge printing method. The result is a subtly faded, historically accurate finish that feels both timeless and lived-in.
Part of Sugar Cane’s “Fiction Romance” line, this piece blends authentic archival details with the brand’s own interpretation of vintage workwear—celebrating craftsmanship, function, and history in every stitch
