A refined rebirth!
Danish brand Bright Shoemakers is now launching their new product line “Extraordinaire”
“Extraordinaire” is the result of a new partnership with a small-scale artisanal shoemaker in Spain close to the boarder of Portugal.
The factory counts only 14 workers, which has been the creative playground for making unique boots from scratch such as last making and pattern making and collaborating with renowned tanneries and solemakers from around the globe.
The end result is a new level of truly unique and handmade boots.
“Vulture” is the first release from the new “Extraordinaire” line of the brand..
The model is based on a vintage style engineer boot.
It’s all about the silhouette!
The Vulture last is based on an old quirky balmoral last with a beak like toe shape.
The toe is unconstructed and meant to take shape of the wearer, resulting in a unique patina.
Vulture is crafted in Horween Chromexcel leather and features Dr. Sole Super Grip half soles.
The boots is made with metal shank, leather soles, cork filling, leather insoles and stacked leather heel with rubber cover.
it features a 270 Goodyear welt construction and vintage inspired brass roller buckles.
Signature details.
Each heel is shaped by hand on both the inside and outside for a full curve from every angle.
Enjoy western inspired signature details such as a western shaped crown and western shaped reinforcement stitching at the adjustment straps and on the heel counter.
Vulture also offers a unique fully integrated leather pull strap in the backstay design.
The idea behind combining the height of the heel, the choice of leather and the shape of the toe is for the leather to start making waves (not creases) and for the boot to fit like a glove once it’s worn in.
Boxes
Bright Shoemakers have collaborated with a Danish artist “Ari Lin Sixten” to create boxes resembling the new Extraordinaire line.
Ari has made a handful of iconic drawings in their ateliers transforming them into screen prints in order to print each box by hand as in the old days of shoemaking.
Which size to choose?
We recommend your normal boot size. At first it might feel very snug around the toes, but given the nature of the leather and the construction of the toe, the Vulture will easily soften up and take shape of your feet with wear.
A good tip:
If you have an issue putting on the boots for the first time, we recommend the old cowboy trick of using a plastic bag on your feet.
